Amar Karma’s celebration of Baisakhi

As Amar Karma Organ Donation Society launched its one month Go Green Campaign on Baisakhi, as the group of volunteers held their first informational booth at Sikh Leher Guruduara on Sunday, April 14 during noon hours.

Among the participants were large number of Amar Karma’s volunteers, MP Parm Gill and many prominent figures of the community including leading broker Raman Dua from SaveMax, Uttam Dalal and Guruduara Committee members. A booth decorated in green balloons, messages, charts, and brochures in different languages drew attention of many devotees during Baisakhi celebration at the Guruduara.  Several inquirers stopped by to learn more where as many others came to register to be organ donors. MP Parm Gill himself attended people on the registration booth and encouraged community members to sign up.

Amar Karma is organizing their next booth for April 21 to be held at Malton Guruduara located at Airport and Derry. Community is invited to come by for information about organ donation as well as to register their consent as organ donors.
